Diaper change tips

First time diaper changing? Read the following and learn how to do it right:

Wash and dry your hands thoroughly (you can also use a baby wipe).

Set up a clean, dry and warm area for diaper changing. Any soft and warm surface will do just fine.

Set up your supplies - a clean diaper and a pack of baby wipes. If you're using disposable baby wipes, put a plastic bag ready for disposal; A Baby Freshmate device in the reach of hand will allow you to use fresh wet wipes as much as you need.

Release the dirty diaper's tabs and wipe away the "leftovers" from the baby's bottom using a fresh baby wipe.

Hold your baby by the ankles, take another wet wipe and clean his bottom while it is off the changing table.

Fold the dirty diaper in half under your baby with the dry side up.

Use baby wipes to clean your baby's front thoroughly.

Hold both of your baby's legs and clean his bottom with another wet wipe.

Place a clean diaper with its top half tabs going under the baby's bottom and the other half going between his legs.

Try not to bunch the diaper between the baby's legs as it can cause scraping and discomfort. As for newborn babies, avoid covering the umbilical cord (you can get special newborn diapers with notches cut out for the stump). Baby FreshMate wet wipes machine uses patented technology to warm and provide sanitary wet wipes. The heating mechanism in the Baby FreshMate is operated only on the 0.5 liter water tank, preventing the baby wipes from browning. When pushing the "Add 1" button in order to get a wet wipe, a micro-processed technology is operated to cut a wipe from the wipe roll and soak it with small amount of water that is delivered from the water tank. This process allows getting a soft wet wipe that is warm, gentle and safe to use.

Before Using

1. Open the top cover
2. Pull out the water tank and fill it with fresh water through the small opening on its bottom (the mouth of the tank). When filling the water tank press down the spring located inside the mouth of the tank. Put the water tank back inside the machine with the small opening facing downwards (a special mechanism prevents the water from spilling out).
3. When placing a new towel roll, insert the two shafts into the roll from both sides and put the towel roll back into the machine while placing the shafts into the niches. We recommend positioning the towel roll so the towel strap stretches out from its upper side. the
4. Lift the pressing board and place the tip of the towel roll under the pressing board. Roll the tip down until is sticks out from its lower end of the pressing board. Make sure the towel lays straight and flat under the pressing board.
5. In order to adjust the towel's length, turn the "LENGTH ADJUSTING" wheel located inside the machine (on the left-hand side). In order to adjust the towel's humidity level turn the "HUMIDITY ADJUSTING" metal wheel located inside the machine (on the right-hand side).
6. Close the top cover and open the tray on the front side of the machine were the rolled wipes come out.

When the heating mode is not operated, the baby wipes will be available at room temperature, one that is more to use as a fresh wet wipe after meals or after home workout for example. As for diaper changing, it is highly recommended to turn on the heating mode in order to treat the baby with warm wet wipe.

Preliminary Adjustment

Preliminary adjustment of baby wipes' humidity level and temperature mode is done easily. Here are some short explanations of how to adjust these features:

Humidity level - The wet paper towels' humidity level can be easily adjusted by turning the "HUMIDITY ADJUSTING" metal wheel located on the right inside the machine (see detail "7" in picture). 10 different humidity levels are marked by lines on the metal wheel.

Temperature mode - The Baby FreshMate features 2 different temperature modes to choose from. When pressing the green button on the back side of the machine, the "HOT" light turns on in the front panel and a built-in thermostat apparatus provides a heating action that warms the water tank and produces warm wet wipes. Pressing the green button again will turn off the "HOT" light and stop the heating action. Wet wipes in room temperature will then be produced (see detail "12" in picture).

Operating Instructions

1. Fill the water tank with fresh water (while pressing the spring inside the opening) and install it back inside the machine with the opening facing down. Put a fresh towel roll inside the wet towel machine and turn on the power switch located on the back side of the Baby FreshMate (see detail "10" in BACK PANEL picture). The machine is now on normal temperature mode and ready to produce wet wipes in room temperature.
2. The Baby Freshmate can produce one wet wipe by pressing the "ADD 1" button.
3. Pressing the "ADD 3" button will increase the wet wipes amount to 3.
4. In order to stop the wipes dispensing, press on the "CANCEL" button.
5. In order to adjust the humidity level, open the top cover and turn the "HUMIDITY ADJUSTING" wheel located on the right-hand side (see detail "7" in picture).
6. In order to produce hot wipes press the green button on the back side of the machine and make sure the "HOT" light turns on in the front panel (see detail "12" in BACK PANEL picture).
7. In order to receive a fresh wipe, open the tray located in the front of the machine (see detail "4" in FRONT PANEL picture).
